Delivery Service Terms and Conditions
- At Sandersons, we take great pride in ensuring that we provide an efficient, consistent and accessible delivery service.
- Sandersons currently offer two delivery days: Tuesdays and Fridays.
- This may be subject to change in the event of inclement/extreme weather and customers will be notified accordingly.
- Any deliveries outside of this time may be negotiated but only approved and coordinated at the discretion of management.

deliveries are to be paid in full prior to stock delivery. Payments can be made in store or over the phone. Customers will receive a copy of receipt with the stock delivered.

A $10 Flat rate delivery fee is charged for all deliveries to our local area (see list below). Hay rounds and wicking bed deliveries may incur an additional charge and can be quoted accordinly.

Deliveries outside of our local area will incur an additional fee and can be quoted accorgingly.

Same day delivery requests will not be accepted. At least 24 hours notice is required. Delivery requests made with less than 24 hours notice may only be successful if we are not fully booked.
- Sandersons will deliver to a single location where our 2-wheel drive Utility can safely access.
- The Customers delivery will be unloaded to the side of the vehicle or into a feed shed. This is to be within 10 metres of the delivery vehicle.
- Within reason and at the discretion of the delivery driver, items under 20kg may be placed under a shelter or in a garage in times of wet weather.
- Customers are to ensure that ALL animals including dogs and livestock are safely contained.
- If these requirements are not fulfilled, we may not be able to deliver the customers goods, and they will be returned to Sandersons for collection. The customer will then be charged a subsequent restocking fee.
- The customer can request a call or message before delivery with an approximate time. Specific delivery times are unable to be met as this is dependent on the booked deliveries for the day.
- Sandersons does not require the customer to be home for delivery, unless specified at time of booking.

- Deliveries to areas outside of these suburbs need to be quoted by management. Staff will take the customers details, and we will contact them within 24 hours to quote and organise.

Any faultly products or delivery issues need to be followed up with sandersons staff within 24 hours.

These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at the discretion of Sandersons management without prior notice. It is the customers responsibility to keep up to date with current terms.
Chicken Sales Terms and Conditions
Chicken Sales Terms and Conditions
1 . General
1.1 We take great pride in the management and raising of our chickens. Our chickens are thoroughly health-checked on arrival in-store and prior to sale.
1.2 We take significant biosecurity and hygiene measures in our coops to ensure that each coop is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each batch.
1.3 We reserve the right to refuse a chicken sale if we deem their potential home situation unfit, unhygienic or for potential of neglectful behaviour.
1.4 We are strictly unable to accept returns, refund or swaps for any chicks, adult chickens, or roosters once they leave our hands due to biosecurity reasons. This policy is in place to ensure the safety of our own birds. We can offer rehoming suggestions on request.
1.5 Due to our current services and retail offerings, we are strictly unable to maintain waitlists for both our Commercial Layers and Heritage Breeds. Every effort will be made to provide clear, concise and adequate warning of availability through social media posting.
1.6 These Terms and Conditions are governed and constructed in accordance with the Animals Laws of South Australia.
1.7 Acceptance of Terms: By purchasing Chickens from Sandersons, the Buyer acknowledges they have read, understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Commerical Layers – Hyline Brown
2.1 These chickens are supplied to us from a commercial breeder for the intention of backyard chicken farming.
2.2 We make every effort to communicate accurate descriptions, including breed type and approximate age, but does not guarantee performance, productivity, or suitability for any specific purpose.
2.3 Full payment is required at the time of purchase, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.4 Prices are subject to change without prior notice
2.5 Chickens are to be collected at the time of purchase or otherwise agreed by management.
2.6 The Buyer is responsible for providing safe and appropriate transport for live animals.
2.7 Risk and responsibility for the Chickens transfer to the Buyer upon collection. Any injury in transport is the responsibility of the buyer. Care and consideration is taken as the chickens are placed in their transport by Sandersons in the size and suitability for transport.
2.8 Sandersons does not guarantee the survival, growth rates, or laying/production capacity of the Chickens after transfer.
2.9 Once the Buyer takes possession, the Buyer assumes full responsibility for the care, management, housing, nutrition, and veterinary requirements of the Chickens.
2.10 The Buyer agrees to comply with all relevant animal welfare, farming, and biosecurity regulations in their jurisdiction.
2.11 The Buyer acknowledges that the Seller cannot control conditions after sale and therefore accepts responsibility for preventing disease spread and maintaining flock health.

Heritage Breeds
3.1 Our Heritage Chickens are only available through the warmer months, generally from October through to March. This is subject to availability and dependant on fertility.
3.2 Our Heritage Chickens are available as young pullets, generally aged between 8-14 weeks old, and not yet at full laying maturity.
3.3 We only supply in mixed small batch breeding, where during peak season, availability is often a dozen at each offering. This may vary depending on availability.
3.4 Breed descriptions and expected laying age are provided in good faith but may vary depending on management, nutrition, and environment.
3.5 Sandersons does not guarantee specific hatch dates or expected lifespan.
3.6 Sandersons does not guarantee availability of any specific breeds as this varies across the season, dependant on hatching success.
3.7 Vaccination and protection against harmful disease is not guaranteed but is clearly communicated at point of sale.
3.8 Sandersons will provide a clear description at each Heritage Sale offering, stipulating Breeds, approximate ages and vaccination status. We reserve the right to withhold the number of each available at time of sale.
3.9 Sandersons reserves the right to privacy in the sourcing of our chickens.
3.10 Our pullets are supplied to us with 80% Vent sexing accuracy. Vent sexing is a more accurate method but is not fool proof. Sandersons makes considerable effort to communicate this openly and honestly to the customer, stipulating the small chance of ending up with a rooster. The customer shall consider this risk when purchasing.
3.11 It is reiterated that in the event of purchasing a rooster, Sandersons are strictly unable to accept returns, refund or swaps for any chickens, pullets, or roosters once they leave our hands due to biosecurity reasons. This policy is in place to ensure the safety of our own birds. We can offer rehoming suggestions on request.
